Bordered Background Help

This help section on bordered backgrounds is provided by Back At Ya Designs.
I couldn't have explained it any better! Michelle agreed that I could share her tips!

Method #1
Transparent Spacers
This method
works great with all monitor sizes and resolutions. What you do is use a "transparent
spacer" gif image to force your text and images over away from
your border design. Insert this code after your body
background, text, and link tags.
<table><tr><td align=left
valign=top><img src="spacer.gif"
height=1 width=110></td>
<td align=left valign=top width=100%>
Now you
would type in your body text, and at the end make sure to insert:
</td></tr></table>
just before your closing body and
html tags. Below is a set of spacer gifs for you in a variety
of sizes. Download the zip file to get them all.

Method #2
Table Aligning
To make
sure your text is aligned properly for both Netscape and Internet Explorer
browsers, place this code in your HTML document just after
the body background and text color tags:
<table width=80% align=right><tr><td>
This is
set at 80%, which is suitable for a border width that is approximately
100 pixels wide. If you use a border that is wider or narrower, you can adjust the table
accordingly. Remember to use the following code at the end of your
page just before your closing body and html tags.
</td></tr></table>
There is
one problem with this method that you should be aware of, and that is when someone is
viewing your pages with a monitor resolution of 640x480 or less, it will
not be aligned correctly.

HTML PAGE LAYOUTS
The following are links for several different layouts of sets found within this site. These are here to
help those beginners trying to make their webpages and needing that added little boost.
Go into 'VIEW' on your toolbar and view the 'SOURCE' You can cut and paste this into your editor and/or save to your own hard drive.

Guestbook Help
Some of the background sets have guestbooks that require some coding. Below is the code for these guestbooks. Some pages have
the code on on the graphics set some do not.
<div align="center">
<table border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0>
<tr><td>
<img src="YOUR DIRECTORY/LEFTimagename.jpg" border=0></td><td>
<img src="YOUR DIRECTORY/RIGHTimagename.jpg" border=0></td></tr>
</table>
</div>
